"What should I pack, and where do I shop when I get there?" We hear it all the time. The good news: Key West style is easy once you know where to look. Relaxed, colorful, made for the heat, never fussy, and most often found on the side streets, in the small boutiques scattered through Old Town and Bahama Village. Better yet, it's all a short walk from The Marker. Here are eight boutiques and shops we think you'll love.

Step out of The Marker and you're practically there. Right next door to Pepe's Café at the Historic Seaport, Island Mercantile sits in a classic two-story conch house on Caroline Street, one of the oldest roads on the island. It's the kind of boutique you stumble into and can't quite leave. Curated resort wear, jewelry, shoes, and accessories from premium global brands, all chosen with a sure hand and an eye for what actually works in this climate. Bright dresses, easy cover-ups, statement accessories, nothing fussy, everything considered.
They recently opened a second location on Fleming Street, same eye, different neighborhood. A good excuse to stop in twice.

The One Nobody Planned
Just around the corner, Lazy Way Lane does not announce itself. It's a short, shaded stretch most visitors walk right past, which is exactly why locals love it. A lane of colorful shops and treasures, with palm trees swaying overhead as you browse for unique finds along the waterfront. The name alone tells you something about Key West's relationship with ambition. Slow down, see what's there. That's the whole point. And when you've wandered to the end, you'll find yourself right back at The Marker.

On Frances Street, Soul House is the only shop on this list that can style you and your living room in the same afternoon. It's a lifestyle boutique in the truest sense: women's clothing, furniture, home décor, jewelry, and gifts, all chosen with the same thoughtful eye. Their tagline is "Love the Life You Live" and the store is built entirely around that idea. Come in for a dress. Leave with a reason to redecorate.

Tucked into a cozy cottage on Southard Street, Vignette has been dressing Key West women for years. The team here has a gift for finding pieces that work in real tropical heat, natural fibers, flowing silhouettes, nothing that needs ironing or second-guessing. From a go-to tee to a kaftan to something spectacular for a night out, the collection runs from practical to showstopping. It’s not just the clothes that make this place special; it’s the kind of service and attention that makes you feel like the only person in the shop.

On the 500 block of Fleming Street, you’ll find Luna, the place that feels like a discovery every time. The pieces here come from designers across Europe, Morocco, Australia and beyond, and you'd be hard-pressed to find any of them anywhere else in the Keys. That's the whole appeal. Clothing, jewelry, bags, even ceramics and art for the home, all chosen with a clear eye and a point of view.
Expect natural fabrics like linen and organic cotton, statement earrings, fine jewelry, and handmade bags worth the splurge. It's the kind of store where you pick something up, turn it over, and want to know where it came from. Pieces for women and men both, so if you're shopping as a pair, you'll each walk out with something.

Over on Whitehead Street, Float is a historic conch house that's anything but old-fashioned. This is a shot of pure dopamine. Room after colorful room, each its own story, filled with resort wear that makes you feel like your best self before you've even tried anything on.
Bold prints, saturated color, and silhouettes that were made for this latitude. Sought-after labels share space with smaller finds you won't see anywhere else on the island. Come in for a browse. Leave looking like you belong here.

On Petronia Street, right across from the iconic Blue Heaven, The Green Pineapple is the island's standard-bearer for eco-conscious style. Clean lines, sustainable fabrics, local art, and a laid-back energy that feels less like shopping and more like discovering exactly what you didn't know you were looking for.
Everything here is chosen with intention: bamboo, organic cotton, sustainable linen, and handcrafted jewelry from local artists. Racks for both women and men, too. It's the place to look effortlessly put-together while actually doing some good.
📍 310 Petronia Street | The Green Pineapple

A few doors down, Bésame Mucho is the shop people come back to every trip. The apothecary scents reach you from the sidewalk. Then you're inside, and time does something funny. Fine jewelry, Belgian linen, leather goods, fragrances, home essentials, and quietly beautiful clothing, every item displayed like it matters. Because here, it does. Their tagline is "Shop here once and life will become a joy forever." They're not wrong.

Key West style isn't about following trends or packing perfectly before you arrive. It's about finding pieces that feel like the island itself: relaxed, colorful, effortless, and meant to be lived in.
So shop a little, wander more, and leave room for the unexpected. The best finds in Key West usually aren't the ones you came looking for. #lovethemarker

Where to shop in Key West - One of the most frequently asked questions we get is where can I find gifts made by local artists. There’s one place to go, and it’s the newest shopping destination dedicated to local artists and creatives - the place to find handcrafted one-of-a-kind items from our friends right here in Key West.
