The Key West Historic Seaport and Harborwalk is home to some of the island’s best waterfront dining, where fresh seafood, laid-back vibes, and front-row harbor views come together in unforgettable ways. Fishing boats unload the day’s catch just steps away, locals gather at weathered bars with cold drinks in hand, and visitors discover flavors that define the island’s easygoing spirit. From raw bars and iconic watering holes to casual bites and fine dining, this is Old Key West at its best—and it's all just a scenic stroll (or a few short steps) from The Marker Key West Harbor Resort. That’s where your Seaport food and drink adventure begins.
Here are eight of the best places to eat and drink along the Historic Seaport and Harborwalk.
Half Shell Raw Bar
You know you're here when you see the iconic 'Eat It Raw' sign with its stylized pin-up girl. Step onto the weathered, concrete floor of this authentic, open-air spot, where picnic tables invite you to relax inside this dockside location. Winner of Best Raw Bar at the Bubbas Awards for three consecutive years (2023-2025), this spot truly lives up to its name, specializing in fresh oysters on the half shell, clams, and peel-and-eat shrimp. However, it's also famous for its crisp Conch Fritters, Buffalo Shrimp, and Key Lime Pie. Half Shell Raw Bar also operates the Half Shell Fish Market, a/k/a your neighborhood seafood market in Old Town Key West.
Did you know? Half Shell Raw Bar is featured in the Apple TV+ series "Bad Monkey."

The Boat House Bar & Grill
Famous for its award-winning happy hour (voted Best Happy Hour in the Bubbas from 2022 through 2025, Key West's version of the People’s Choice Awards), The Boat House is a longtime locals' favorite. Its prime dockside location offers nonstop harbor views and a relaxed, come-as-you-are vibe. The big draw is happy hour, with 50% off all items on the "Small Plates" menu and half-off drink specials. Favorites include Coconut Shrimp, Short Ribs, and Baby Lamb Chops, perfect for sharing and sampling a little bit of everything. And don’t miss the 'mandatory' Boathouse Bread. Who knew bread could be this popular? Here, it gets rave reviews. Honestly, the whole menu hits the mark.

Waterfront Brewery
Just steps from The Marker Key West Harbor Resort, Waterfront Brewery is a working brewery where locals come for craft beer with waterfront views of the Key West Bight. Famous for their Crazy Lady Honey Blonde Ale made with local honey, (you can also get this poolside at our resort) this scenic spot serves up house-made beers alongside elevated pub fare and Key West-inspired dishes designed to perfectly pair with your pint. The menu features fresh local seafood, hearty sandwiches, salads, and shareables like their signature pretzel sticks with rich beer-cheese sauce and fresh local fish dip. Beyond the food and drink, they even have a game room for added entertainment. Photo credit: Waterfront Brewery.

Schooner Wharf Bar
At the foot of William Street on the Historic Harbor Walk is where you'll find Schooner Wharf Bar, "A Last Little Piece of Old Key West." Once you arrive, you'll understand why it's laid-back, iconic and full of character. One of our favorite dive bars and watering holes by the seaport. This open-air hangout sits right on the marina with front-row views of schooners, classic yachts, and charter boats docked along the historic seaport. Head upstairs to the second-floor deck for even better views and prime people-watching. Live music plays throughout the day, creating a true island soundtrack for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night bites. Crowd favorites include Conch Fritters, peel-and-eat shrimp, the "Famous" Fish Sandwich, and blackened fish tacos. With three daily happy hours and a come-as-you-are spirit, it's a local favorite just a stone's throw from our resort.

Alonzo’s Oyster Bar
Since 1947, Alonzo’s has been a staple at the seaport, serving up fresh seafood with front-row views of the marina on three sides. It’s the kind of place where you can sip a cold drink while watching the boats come and go, and where the menu is as memorable as the view. Oysters take center stage—raw, baked, or piled high in seafood towers—but you’ll also find island favorites like the lobster Reuben, fish and chips, and seared tuna tacos. With one of the best Happy Hours on the island and a setting that captures the spirit of Old Key West, Alonzo’s is a can’t-miss stop for seafood lovers. Photo credit: Alonzo’s Oyster Bar.

Bel Mare Restaurant
Bel Mare, meaning "beautiful sea," certainly lives up to its name. This notable and relatively newer fine dining addition to the seaport has quickly established itself as a standout for those seeking a more refined culinary experience. Bel Mare offers an authentic twist by expertly blending the fresh, local seafood of Key West with time-honored coastal Italian culinary traditions. This creates a unique fusion where handmade pastas and exquisitely prepared seafood dishes like Lobster Scampi celebrate both the island's abundant waters and the rich, complex flavors of Italy.
